Event Information

Roll up to the 4th annual RACV Marysville Marathon Festival. We’ve got events for everyone, whether it be the 4 or 10 km Run/Walk, a Half-Marathon, the full Marathon or the 50 km Ultramarathon. The courses will be the same as in 2011, only a little less muddy, mostly on scenic trails, including some along local streams. Apart from the short course you visit Steavensons Falls, and the marathoners and ultra runners also take in Keppels Falls. Brett Saxon (Race Director) and his team from Trails Plus are back again, making further improvements to your running experience with registration, signage, marshaling and well-stocked aid stations. Yes, there are some rises on the trails but apart from the tough ultra runners you won’t be going up mountainsides. Put in a good effort and enjoy it as much as they have each year before!

Come and see the prolific regrowth of the bush since the fires of 2009. Our town is recovering well with new buildings and facilities to see. Do support our local businesses and consider staying a night or two for the weekend, or come back for any of our great seasons. There’ll be family entertainment and music for you and your friends, including a great local steelpan band. At Marysville Marathon we’re raising funds for local emergency services and community groups, plus $10 of each entry goes to help ultra runner Kate Sanderson injured in the Kimberley fires in 2010. We’ve appreciated all the help we received since 2009, including the camaraderie and support of the running community.

Register early and receive a free t-shirt or singlet from previous years. We’ve got show bags and medallions for our finishers, lots of random prizes and unique winners trophies. Come along and have a rewarding time as a volunteer if you’re not running or walking. Thanks to all our sponsors and volunteers who enable us to continue each year.
